Rugby Recovery
Take the hit Saturday. Train again Tuesday.
Sound familiar?
You don't need every box — one or two checked hard is enough.
- Soreness that feels dense, not just tired — like the tissue itself thickened
- Shoulders and neck that lock up after a contact-heavy match
- Hips that tighten from scrums, rucks, and tackles
- That bruised-deep feeling that hangs around until Wednesday
- Tuesday training compromised because Saturday hasn't left yet
They're symptoms. The program starts by finding what's driving them.
Assessed, planned, worked, proven.
The assessment
A focused intake and movement look, followed by 30 minutes of hands-on treatment. You leave knowing what's restricted, what may be driving it, and what the next step should be.
Your plan
A defined set of visits with a clear goal, built around your schedule and your season. You'll know the endpoint before we start.
The work
Focused hands-on visits plus the small between-visit pieces that make it hold. Chris chooses the tools — you never have to.
The re-test
We measure against where you started. When the change holds, the program ends. That's the point.
Session rates are the same across programs: $60 for 30 minutes, $110 for 60 minutes, and $140 for 90 minutes. If a package makes sense, Chris will talk through it before you buy.
Where this program spends its time.
Shoulders & neck
Where contact lands and where it stays if nobody works it out.
Hips & glutes
The power base — and the first thing scrummaging locks up.
Tissue density
Rugby soreness is different. The work matches it — deeper, slower, deliberate.
The turnaround
Match to training to match — the program is built around your week, not a spa schedule.
What you get back, in plain terms.
- A shorter gap between match day and feeling like yourself.
- Contact that doesn't stack week over week.
- A body still willing in round fourteen, not just round two.
Every one of these is checked against your own starting point — that's what the re-test step is for.
This program fits — or it doesn't.
Not sure which side you're on? That's exactly what the assessment answers — and Chris will tell you straight, including if the answer is a doctor before a massage therapist.
Before you book.
How soon after a match can I come in?
Recovery work is best planned around the match, the contact load, and how your body responds afterward. If there's a suspected injury, head or neck symptom, swelling, sharp pain, or anything unusual, get medical care first.
Do you work with whole teams?
For a club or team conversation, call or text Chris directly. Team needs can vary, and minors still require parent involvement and the right consent process before any bodywork.
